Another avenue of car stereo sales are at expos and conventions. Most of the time, the good stuff come out at expos, whether it be a car expo, audio system expo, but usually the largest car stereo sale happens at a gathering of car audio manufacturers. Well, at these kinds of expos and conventions, its not usually a sale because the manufacturers usually try to get buyers for their newest product. If you have the money and youre out there to buy some serious hardware, then by all means, SPLURGE AWAY!

There are two kinds of mounting in a car stereo installation - ISO mounting: This is when the radio can be screwed to existing factory radio brackets, such as in most Japanese cars. - Ring mounting: This is when an aftermarket radio comes with a metal ring that gets mounted to the factory radio hole or aftermarket kit via bendable tabs. In many cars, dash and trim rings have to be filed to enlarge the radio hole. As soon as the ring is installed, the radio slides in and is held by snaps. In most cases, special tools are needed to remove the radio.

Other useful tips which will help: Another way to get a discount car stereo is to SUBSTITUTE. Like cars, Japanese made units are often less expensive than German/European/American made units. Again, look at the basics. What is it that you need, as in the most BASIC FEATURES? Do you really need that mesmerizing LED display, or can you do without it? Goes for speakers too. If youre not going to enter a car audio competition and you just want to hear good treble and bass levels without making your speakers croak, maybe you can do away with a couple of 3way/4 way speakers. A big subwoofer will definitely need an amplifier, and those are already two things to purchase.

For unconventional speaker locations, sometimes metal has to be cut. You might want to leave this to the professionals, tools like plasma cutters and pneumatics drills are needed. However if you are going to insist, a pair of metal snips (left and right cut) will do.

Take a look at any good car stereo system and you will probably see a Pioneer car stereo unit plugged into the console. Alongside with quality speakers and a strong lineup of accessories like LCD panels and navigational devices, Pioneer products/Pioneer car stereos have earned a huge following the world over.

We all know you can go along to your high street (or out of town) computer store, pick a package off the shelf and be home in 10 minutes. Sure, it will do the basics well, you should be able to access the internet and run straighforward programmes. But will it fulfill everything you need it to? Well here’s just a few reasons why a custom built PC may be more appropriate.

Whether you purchase a custom PC,or build your own, you have the opportunity to have something unique. You also have the chance to have a computer that, despite being tailored to your specifications, should actually cost you less in the long run than the ones you get from the big national stores. This is because you have the ability to upgrade various parts over time, whilst keeping the same core PC. There are an endless amount of people who would be better suited by a custom computer. Here’s just a few:

The Gamer. New video games constantly push the limits of what PCs can handle. Buying a store-bought PC fast enough to run the newest games basically means having to buy the most powerful and expensive one available. Consequently, lots of hard-core video gamers have custom-built computers designed to run games at optimal efficiency (and often at a cheaper price tag).

Gamers love speed. They seek out motherboards with fast system buses and forward compatibility (upgrading the CPU and RAM as newer, faster models become available). They stuff that motherboard with the fastest processor they can find and all the memory they can squeeze into it. After that, a powerful video card with its own graphics processor is crucial to make full use of the game’s realistic visual effects. Those are the essentials, but nice speakers and two big monitors never hurt.

Every now and then you hear about the next music superstar who made their first tracks in their bedroom or garage. Now in order to do that they will have needed something different to your standard PC. Fast processing speeds are essential, as are high spec audio cards and a decent memory. If you want to make your own music or mix your own tracks, then you will need a very specific system custom made for these requirements.

The advancement of the internet has meant that a lot of people who previously would have had to work from an office or studio can now work from home. A prime example of this are people who edit video for a living. This can range from large scale movie editing to wedding DVDs. This has meant a raft of software specifically designed for video editing, and as per the gaming machines it is vital that your PC can not just run the software, but run it well.

For a motherboard, inexpensive solutions usually have more built-in options directly on the motherboard, such as graphics and audio support. What this means is that it can be more difficult to upgrade in the future. Whilst they may be cheaper now, to keep pace with technological developments it is important that right from the outset you have the right motherboard. Generally you won’t have a choice of a motherboard in a standard system.

Just three reasons why a custom built computer is superior, even necessary for some. Something to think about if you’re planning a new purchase.

Technology has a funny habit of solving one problem but then highlighting another. A typical example of this is the emergence of virtual operating systems, that is an OS that runs on top of another OS. While there are many advantages to many computer users in running these configurations they all rely the humble hard disk , and as fragmentation occurs, this can lead to instability and potentially data loss.

Virtual machines must still make use of the slowest part of any modern computer system: hard drive technology. Hard Drives can be partitioned to appear as dedicated individual devices, these devices are then often utilized to store virtual partitions and virtual operating systems. Underneath this “virtual” layer, the hardware is storing data as it always has, in a fragmented inefficient manner.

Hard disk fragmentation occurs when files are split in to multiple chunks as they are slotted into spare space on the hard drive. If you are running a solitary OS chances are you have already noticed considerable slow down in your system since purchase. Just imagine two or more OS’s running causing the same file fragmentation! Pretty soon your system could come to a grinding halt.

Fragmentation will not only slow down your computer or server but due to the excessive and unwarranted extra movement of the heads, the life of your storage device(s) can be seriously reduced. The problem is not only limited to single drives however, even if you have a very well specked raid set up, fragmentation can get so severe that the only viable option is data recovery or server rebuild.

You would like to think that as the problem of file fragmentation has been with us since the advent of hard drive based computer systems, operating system vendors would have come up with a software solution to ensure the problem is eradicated at source. Whilst Mac OS X will partially help with files under a 20 mb size, Windows operating systems seem to pay it no heed whatsoever.

Defragmentation utilities can take care of this problem, however, running them practically ties up the machine until completion, slowing the machine to a crawl. So what can be done to remove this issue? There are a number of possibilities that can be tried.

Fortunately we are not left to the operating systems alone as there are a number of third party defragmentation applications that are far superior to the inbuilt OS tools. These can be scheduled to run when system usage is very low for example whilst the system is idle or the screen saver is running. As you go defragmentation is my personal choice.

Invest in dedicated hardware. Not the cheapest solution but for business and power user home systems probably the most sensible route. Dedicated hardware could be an additional hard drive (internal or external) a dedicated raid array or even an SSD device. The actual solution will depend on how mission critical the application actually is.

Ink cartridges are something that must be purchased frequently and can be quite expensive. There can be big savings in buying refills rather than new cartridges.

There are a few things you need to be aware of, though, if you’re going to use refill kits.

Printers are quite specific as to the type of ink that must be used for the printer to function property. Refills that say they can be used for all types of printers may not be trustworthy.

You need to be sure to get a refill that is specifically compatible with your brand and model of printer, to get the best results.

Another thing to consider is how many refills you get from a kit. Many refill kits include enough ink to refill a cartridge 3 or 4 times.

A well-matched ink is not the only thing that has to be considered. Cartridges do not function well forever. If you continue to refill them after a while they will begin to perform poorly. After a few refills the cartridges need to be replaced.

Most refill kits come with enough ink for filling a cartridge more than one time. So when you have to replace your cartridge you can hold on to your remaining refill ink and when your new cartridge runs out you will be ready to refill it. You may also be able to save by buying refurbished cartridges.

Ink also does not last forever. When purchasing your refill kit you need to keep in mind how quickly you will be able to use it. If you will not be able to use all the ink before it goes bad you may want to rethink the purchase.

The other common problem with refill kits is that they can be quite messy if you aren’t careful when refilling them. Companies that refill empty cartridges have specialized equipment that makes it quite simple.

Ink stains everything so you want it only in the cartridge and not all over everything else. Read the directions carefully and follow them exactly to avoid making a mess that will be impossible to clean up.

You may be able to find additional instructions online at the manufactures website. If they have step by step directions with illustrations or demonstrations this could be very helpful.

Give yourself plenty of time on your first attempt to refill a cartridge. It is a learning process and you don’t want to be in a hurry. If you have to get something out right away you don’t want to be worrying about refilling your cartridge. Set aside some time to learn to do it correctly.

Customizing your own PC based on your gaming needs, you should be sure that you’ve got the right software and hardware. Just the basics in such factors simply would not suffice for the demands of hard core gaming. If you know what you want, then selecting the right PC gaming system won’t be that hard.

Here is a good question to start off with: what type of monitor works best for gamers? As you may already know, display is a vital element if you want to maximize your gaming experience. If you would recall your very first PC monitor, you can only imagine how huge and bulky it appears compared to the cool LCD monitors of today.

Why are LCD monitors the thing when it comes to your gaming needs. Obviously, LCD screens give off better color displays and higher resolutions. Plus, unlike CRT monitors that used to be the norm, these slim type screens do not emit high levels of radiation, so you don’t risk damaging your eyes. If you are after portability and less bulk, then an LCD will be perfect for you; they take up very little space on your desk.

The graphics card is also a prime consideration, so what type should you purchase? For the budget conscious, 256 MB would be okay, but 512 MB is the norm for hard core gamers. Also, you should be sure that your motherboard has enough slots to accommodate your needs, since you will be sure to have additional hardware later on.

Speaking of having enough, are you sure your hard drive can accommodate the demands of game storage? Consider getting a hard disk that is extra generous on space, because you will be likely to save thousands of songs, video clips, and files, not to mention installing your games which take up megabytes of space at a time.

Also, be sure that you have a reliable and good quality DVD-R on your custom gaming PC. For people who can splurge on spending cash on boxed original versions of PC games, then an LG or Sony DVD-R should do the trick. Keep in mind that cheaper brands of DVD drives can tend to be unreliable, and might conk out without a moment’s notice. What a bummer for gamers!

Now lastly, the processing power of your gaming PC matters a lot. This is why selecting the top of the line processors should be one of your priorities. Some great examples would be Intel Skulltrail, Intel Core Duo, or at the least, Pentium 4. According to gaming experts, anything below a Pentium 4 might not be able to handle the taxing demands of gaming.

Plenty of people are into creating their own websites now-a-days, mainly for the purpose of earning a little bit of extra income that way. Maybe you have created one of your own too. Now money will flow in only when some sort of traffic is generated to your website. And this is a little difficult considering that that there must be millions of websites over the World Web, and a few hundred more coming in each day! So expecting a visitor to just casually walk into your website is expecting a little too much!

Welcome to the world of URL search engines! Simply put, a URL search engine is a simple program that trawls or crawls the web to look for keywords and classifies web pages on the basis of those keywords. This enables us to neatly categorize the worldwide web and to find relevant information when we need it. The search engine also has a front-end that we use to type in the query. When this query is run, it in effect searches through billions of URLs to identify and present those URLs which have the highest incidence of the search string.

But how do you submit your URL to search engines in the first place. With some URL search engines, it is as easy as going to the website and putting in your website URL for inclusion. For instance the URL search engine Google (www.google.com) feeds over 80 search engines, including the likes of AOL. So, visiting their website to ask for a free listing will ensue that if your URL is selected for inclusion, at least 80 search engines will reflect your URL in their search results. Inktomi is another URL search engine that feeds over 125 search engines including Yahoo, HotBot, MSN and several others. But Inktomi has no free submissions available. It only features paid search strings and submitting your URL here may not be worth the while.

Remember that merely submitting your website is not sufficient to get your website at the top of the search listings. Your URL needs to be indexed in these search engines. And indexing in mot URL search engine may take upwards of a month (and in some cases, up to 8 weeks) for your URL to become popular enough for inclusion. But if you are in some sort of a hurry to increase the number of visitors to your website, you might choose to go for the pay per click option.

Where pay-per-click search engines are concerned, when web browsers type in specific keyword (s) into the search engine, some results are displayed. The minute a visitor clicks on the resulting websites, you will be charged a certain amount as the owner of that particular website. The payment depends on the keywords typed in or your rankings. If you want a higher rank, you pay more. So if you are more interested in getting traffic to your website rather than conducting any transactions, this option is the best.

Everything seems so easy on paper, but it is not really so! Imagine you have opted for the above-mentioned option. A few visitors click on your websites, but there are not really enough of them. Then is the amount you are paying substantiated by the traffic generated to your website or not? Will it really be worth it in the end? Your URL on the search engine results may become popular or not so popular. The expenses you have incurred are going more for advertising and marketing than for ensuring that your website becomes well known to visitors! So give it some serious thought before you go in for such an option.

Why does the U.S. Gear D-Celerator not bolt to the back of the turbocharger like other brands?
All exhaust brakes are designed to enhance the driving experience by giving the operator the added security of braking assistance. The difference is in how the unit is engineered. Will the exhaust brake interfere with the operation of the vehicle’s other systems? The turbo-mounted exhaust brakes offered restrict exhaust flow by 25%. This is because the stock pipe (or casting) they remove behind the turbo is empty, but the replacement exhaust brake casting has parts in it.First, lets look at how much power the turbo compressor is using.

What is a “silencer ring”?
A silencer ring is a metal baffle placed into the turbocharger inlet to reduce whistle from the turbocharger. It is installed in Ram truck engines at the request of Chrysler. The silencer ring has no effect on engine output, EGT, or boost levels. How does a Magna Charger supercharger compare with a turbocharger?
All forced induction devices increase air pressure and density in the intake manifold by pumping more air than the engine would use without it. This concentrated charge of air results in a more powerful combustion stroke in the engine’s cylinders, resulting in improved performance over naturally aspirated vehicles. A supercharger is connected directly to the crankshaft by a belt; unlike a turbocharger, which is driven by exhaust gases.First of all, there are a couple different types of superchargers (positive displacement and centrifugal). The most popular these days seems to be the centrifugal supercharger which is basically the same design compressor as a turbocharger compressor. These compressors both increase in airflow and efficiency with impeller RPM’s. (Which basically means that doubling the impeller RPM doesn’t double the airflow, it increases the air flow exponentially.Every month I hold a Keyword Clinic teleseminar. It’s usually on the third or fourth Tuesday of the month.

An inkjet cartridge is the replaceable component of an inkjet printer that contains the ink used when printing. The ink cartridge can also contain the print head itself. Every ink cartridge is made up from one or more partitioned ink reservoirs and some producers also insert electronic contacts and a chip that transmits information to the printer.

The printing depends on the smooth flow of ink, which can be hindered if the ink begins to dry at the print head, as can happen when an ink level becomes low. Dried ink can be cleaned from a cartridge print head by rubbing gently with isopropyl alcohol on a swab or folded paper towel.

In most cases, ink cartridges are very expensive. Many people prefer to use compatible ink cartridges, made by a company other than the printer manufacturer. These cartridges can sometimes match the quality, but with possible savings. Another alternative involves some modifications to allow the use of continuous ink systems that use external ink tanks. Some people even choose to use aftermarket inks. They can refill their own ink cartridge, buy aftermarket remanufactured brands, or even take them to a local refiller to refill them.

The costs of replacing ink cartridges, compared to the price of a brand new printer, amaze many of the customers. Leading printer manufacturers like Hewlett Packard, Lexmark, Dell, Canon, Epson and Brother often loose money by selling cheap printers. They must recover these losses and make a profit by selling very expensive cartridges over the life span of the printer. Because companies producing aftermarket ink cartridges take away a part of their profit, major printer manufacturers have taken action against them. Some manufacturers even took legal action.

Many consumers opt to have their cartridges refilled or purchased remanufactured cartridges from third parties to save money over buying new cartridges. This is much cheaper (as you need only buy the ink and some other small raw materials), and a whole industry has grown up around this idea. There are several qualities and types of refilling, some of them being safe and successful, while other types can ruin the printer and/or give bad quality prints. Options include taking empty cartridges to “refillers” or “remanufacturers” who pump in new ink, and buying store-branded ink.

Another option is for the consumer to refill the cartridges. Instructions for most cartridges are available on the web, as well as sources who sell “bulk ink” in pints, quarts, and even gallons. This can be extremely cost effective if the consumer is a heavy user of cartridges. One pint (473 ml) is sufficient ink to fill approximately 15 to 17 large cartridges of a typical 27 ml capacity. At the price of an original cartridge, you can buy at least one pint of ink.

Generally speaking, Brother, Canon, Dell, HP, and Lexmark cartridges are not difficult to refill (sometimes a syringe and ink are enough), while Epson cartridges usually require the additional purchase of a chip resetter to reset the counter chip inherent in the Epson cartridges. However, since it involves handling ink, the refill process can be inherently messy until some experience has been acquired.

Laser/toner cartridges labeled as “compatible” are often refilled cartridges. Many third parties offer newly manufactured cartridges. Ink cartridges labeled as “compatible” are all newly produced. “Remanufactured” inkjet cartridges have been used previously and refilled by a third party so caution is advised when buying them. These cartridges may not work like new ones.
